Good evening LFFS family, I hope you're all happy, healthy, and well. I write this newsletter with a heavy heart, but also with a tingling of excitement for what the future might hold. Unfortunately, Arch Co, our landlords, no longer want to continue our negotiations/discussions regarding unrealistic rent increases/Covid arrears. (new management team, I believe) Therefore, in their wisdom, they have decided to take back the unit with immediate effect. Unknown to me until this morning. (To put things in perspective: if we were to increase our prices at the same rate as the rent, your monthly pass would cost £250-£300. We're good, but not that good!) After 15 years of providing affordable fitness for all, we can no longer stay true to this ethos under these circumstances. While this ending is more abrupt than we hoped for, it's unfortunately beyond our control. [Warning: emotional bit ahead – tissues at the ready] It has been the most amazing, beautiful, fun 15 years, full of so much laughter, love and making friendships for life. To the thousands who have passed through our doors – thank you for being part of this truly unique community., be it the hipster who’s anti-exercise but wants a bicep, the fitness shy, freaks, physically awkward, or the odd ones out (like me), who just want to have a laugh and be silly – we love the silliness. But as one door closes, another opens. The Arch was a beautiful relationship, but things changed when the new boyfriend "Arch Co" arrived (excuse me, too much coffee!). So what now? The best way to get over someone is to get under someone. We are currently looking for a new space, so stay tuned. But in the short to medium term: 1. All spin passes will be refunded pro-rata, and yearly passes can be refunded or honored at our new space. Please email info@londonfieldsfitness.com to start the process. 2. Stay tuned for updates on our next chapter. I truly believe that once the dust settles, this will be a blessing in disguise – a new space enabling us to continue our love affair and stay true to our ethos and soul.
