Rowan has spent the past several years working and training in health and wellbeing related areas. He holds a degree as dietitian and combines this knowledge with his personal training experience to devise tailored workout sessions and nutritional advice for his clients. His approach to training is ‘train your strengths hard and your weaknesses harder’, utilising bodyweight and core exercises, with free weights and boxing sessions.
Rowan’s fitness background is all about life experience. For years he was one of the top 3 fastest bicycle couriers in London and his heavy lifting background comes from labouring on building sites. He is a keen sportsman, taking part in mountain biking, white-water kayaking, Muay Thai boxing and conventional boxing in Cardiff and London.
As a trainer he teaches a variety of fitness classes including circuits, HIIT, HulaFit®, Boot Camp and Boxercise. Rowan led the fitness warm-ups for participants of British Gas SwimBritain and taught HulaFit® for Prudential Ride London attendees. He loves variety and enjoys the challenge of teaching different types of classes for London Fields Fitness Studio™.
Rowan and his wife Anna own HulaFit®, a hula hoop fitness class devised and developed at London Fields Fitness Studio™ 2 years ago, and now taught internationally. Rowan is available for Personal Training sessions and nutrition consultations.
Qualifications: Personal Trainer (level 3 YMCA), BSc (Hons) Human Nutrition and Dietetics, OCR Level 2 Circuit Training, additional training includes in suspension fitness; padwork boxing; HIIT; UKSCA Foundation in Strength and Conditioning.
